How does the soft-close lid protect my space and reduce noise?

The Airstep’s lid uses a built-in air damper and well-balanced hinge so it closes slowly and quietly after you step on the pedal. That gentleness prevents loud slamming, reduces wear on the lid mechanism, and avoids scattering light debris when in use.

• Soft open and slow, silent close with an easy-to-replace air damper.
• Pedal-to-lid linkage tuned for minimal force and steady movement.
• Durable hinges designed for long-term, quiet operation in busy households.

Will this fit standard trash bags and maximize capacity?

Yes—the bin’s bucket-free interior and rectangular shape increase usable volume so it holds more refuse while still accepting common tall kitchen trash bags. The design reduces wasted space compared with round cans and sits neatly along cabinets.

• 18-gallon (68-liter) extra-capacity interior without needing proprietary liners.
• Rectangle footprint saves floor space and tucks into corners or against cabinets.
• Compatible with widely available tall kitchen trash bags for convenience and savings.

How does the odor control system work and when should I replace filters?

One AbsorbX odor filter is included to capture and neutralize common kitchen smells. iTouchless provides a reminder via text message option to prompt filter replacement, ensuring consistent odor reduction without guesswork.

• Included AbsorbX cartridge absorbs and neutralizes odors at the source.
• Replaceable filter design keeps maintenance simple and affordable.
