KitchenAid All-Metal Grain Mill Attachment for Stand Mixers — KGM, Adjustable Coarse-to-Fine Grind, 10-Cup Capacity

KitchenAid KGM All-Metal Grain Mill Attachment turns whole low-moisture grains into freshly milled flour and meal using your KitchenAid stand mixer. Bring baking and cooking back to basics by grinding wheat, corn, oats, rice, barley, buckwheat and other low-moisture, low-oil grains at home. The KGM grain mill attaches to the power hub of any household KitchenAid stand mixer so you can process up to about 10 cups per batch. The heavy-duty, all-metal construction stands up to regular use, and the adjustable grind knob moves smoothly from cracked grains to extra-fine flour without electronic complexity.

What grains can I mill with this attachment?

The KitchenAid KGM is designed for low-moisture, low-oil grains. That includes wheat, rye, corn, oats, rice, barley, millet and buckwheat. Avoid oily seeds or nuts such as peanuts and coffee beans because their oil content can clog the mechanism and affect performance.

• Works with hard and soft wheat, cornmeal, oats and rice
• Not recommended for oily seeds, beans, or coffee
• Produces consistent results with dry, whole grains

How do I adjust grind size and how much will it make?

A simple front knob controls grind setting from coarse cracked grain to extra-fine flour, letting you dial in texture for breads, pancakes, or polenta. The chamber accepts roughly a 10-cup batch size so you can mill enough flour for most home-baked recipes in one run. For very fine flour, you may run the mill a second time for extra uniformity.

• Adjustable knob for coarse to fine grinds
• Approximate capacity: up to 10 cups per batch
• Reprocess for finer texture if needed

How do I attach, use, and clean the mill with my mixer?

The attachment mounts into the mixer's power hub—no special tools required—then lock it in place and feed grains into the hopper while running the mixer at the recommended speed. After use, remove remaining grain by brushing with the included small brush; the parts are hand-washable but not dishwasher-safe. Regular cleaning between different grains prevents flavor transfer and keeps the grinding surfaces working properly.

• Attaches to KitchenAid stand mixer power hub easily
• Includes a cleaning brush for quick post-use care
• Hand wash parts only; avoid dishwasher to preserve finish

Is the construction durable and will it fit my mixer?

The KGM features an all-metal housing and grinding components that provide durability and a stable grinding action compared with plastic-bodied mills. It is made to fit all household KitchenAid stand mixer models with a standard power hub. The solid build gives the torque needed for consistent milling without slipping or overheating.

• All-metal construction for longevity
• Designed to fit the KitchenAid power hub on household mixers
• Heavy-duty feel helps steady grinding during use

Who is this for: Home bakers, small-scale cooks and anyone who wants full control over flour freshness, flavor and grind texture will benefit from the KitchenAid KGM Grain Mill Attachment. It suits people who already own a KitchenAid stand mixer and prefer homemade flours for artisan bread, pancakes, tortillas, porridge or specialty baking. If you value durable construction, simple mechanical adjustment and the flexibility to experiment with different whole grains, this attachment is a practical way to expand your kitchen capabilities without adding a separate appliance.
