Owala SmoothSip Slider Stainless Steel Travel Mug 12oz — Triple‑Layer Insulated, Leak‑Proof with Handle

The Owala SmoothSip Slider with Handle is a 12oz stainless steel travel mug engineered for spill‑free sipping, dependable temperature retention, and easy on‑the‑go carrying.

Compact and commuter‑friendly, this 12‑ounce tumbler pairs a patented SmoothSip spout with a sliding lock lid and a sturdy carry handle to make daily beverages simpler. The slim, tapered base fits most vehicle cupholders while triple‑layer vacuum insulation helps preserve hot or cold temperatures. Built from durable, BPA‑free stainless steel with a wide mouth for ice or easy cleaning, it’s designed to be a practical everyday companion for coffee, tea, or water.

How does the SmoothSip Slider keep drinks from spilling?

The lid features a sliding lock mechanism that fully seals the SmoothSip spout when closed so you can toss the mug into a bag without worrying about leaks. The precision fit between lid and cup creates a secure, 100% leak‑proof closure when engaged.

• Sliding lock clicks firmly into place to prevent accidental opening
• Patented SmoothSip spout shaped for an ergonomic, controlled flow
• Secure lid-to-tumbler fit minimizes movement and seepage

Will it actually keep coffee hot and water cold?

The SmoothSip Slider uses triple‑layer vacuum insulation to slow heat transfer and help beverages maintain temperature longer than a single‑walled cup. While exact times depend on starting temperature and environment, the insulation noticeably extends enjoyment of both hot and chilled drinks during commutes or work sessions.

• Triple‑layer vacuum construction reduces heat exchange
• Stainless steel interior preserves flavor without retaining odors
• Wide mouth allows quick addition of ice or hot liquid as needed

Is this travel mug comfortable to carry and fit for daily use?

Yes—the molded handle gives a confident grip for walking, public transit, or quick handoffs, and the tapered base slides into most car cupholders. The compact 12oz capacity is sized for single‑serve coffee while keeping the overall weight light for everyday transport.

• Sturdy carry handle designed for secure, comfortable holding
• Tapered base fits standard cupholders for commutes and drives
• Durable stainless steel body resists dents and wear from daily use

How do I clean and maintain the Owala SmoothSip Slider?

The tumbler is easy to keep fresh: hand wash the cup body and disassemble the lid for top‑rack dishwasher cleaning as needed. Components are designed for routine care without special tools, and materials are free from BPA, lead, and phthalates for peace of mind.

• Hand wash the stainless steel cup for longevity
• Disassemble lid pieces; top‑rack dishwasher safe according to manufacturer guidance
• Wide mouth simplifies hand washing and ice removal

Who is this for: The Owala SmoothSip Slider is ideal for commuters, students, and anyone who favors a compact single‑serve mug that’s easy to carry and truly leak‑proof. If you want a durable, insulated 12oz tumbler with an ergonomic spout, a secure sliding lock, and a practical handle for daily travel and errands, this mug fits the bill without fuss.
